Victory Red from Bésame is my all-time favorite red, and this is a VERY close second--in fact, it's very similar in shade if Victory is out of stock. The formula is very creamy and forgiving and doesn't seep into the fine lines around the lips. Like all Bésame lipsticks, Forever Red lasts a long time, even for those who wear off lipstick quickly like myself. Great for those who prefer a cool-toned red.

I recently purchased my first five Besame lipsticks ( all reds) and could not be more pleased with these beauties. They are little works of art all the way from the pretty vintage packaging to the lovely formula itself.
Forever Red is what I consider to be a real vintage classic with what to me is a blue based red. This color is such a beautiful classic red and pretty much perfect for any skin tone. I am very faired skin and this has the 'Wow' factor that really makes my lips stand out and gives the impression that you are wearing something very special from an era that started the beauty revolution of the 1920's. I have long been a vintage girly from the 1920's thru the 1950's and this company does an exquisite job with their vintage recreations with such detail and research.
I literally get compliments from strangers when I wear these empowering Besame red lipsticks... I love when that happens! I am always happy to tell fellow admirers what brand and shade I am wearing. I am such a fan of Mary ( the beautiful lady who created this company) and have the utmost respect for what she has done here. These lipsticks are creamy, deeply pigmented, and long wearing.
Anyone who loves vintage authenticity should try this brand. You won't be disappointed

The descriptions says a deep dark red with neutral undertones, but I find that it looks somewhat plum on me! In the photo here, I lined my lips with Red Velvet (dark true red) and filled in with forever Red. It looked gorgeous by candlelight at dinner!! Im also a fan of using Forever Red as a liner then filling with a bright red like Besame Red. I have Asian/pinay brown complexion, and I often dont see swatches or reference photos with my complexion on review sites, so I just thought Id add mine in case anyone is interested !

I struggle with red lipstick because I have pretty pale skin. This lipstick over the Besame red lip liner was PERFECT. Just berry enough to flatter my cooler coloring and somehow not overwhelming on my pale skin. I love it! I wish the tube was a little more generous, but its exactly the lipstick I was hoping it would be.
