About
Only a limited quantity of these stunning, silk-cotton blend scarves were designed to celebrate and commemorate the amazing Ella Fitzgerald®. Bésame founder, Gabriela Hernandez, in partnership with The Foundation commissioned visual artist, Naledi Tshegofatso Modupi, to create a unique portrait of Ella. Modupi is known for her powerful, distinctive style of portraiture that is bold, energetic and authentically celebrates people’s personalities. The original artwork was then adapted for the creation of the scarf.

About the Collection
This scarf is part of a limited-edition collection celebrating the jazz music and beauty of the First Lady of Song and was created for all the fans of Ella Fitzgerald songs, jazz lovers and everyone who wants to transform themselves into Jazz Age beauties. Bésame founder, Gabriela Hernandez, collaborated with The Ella Fitzgerald® Foundation on all makeup products and shades. As an Ella fan and lover of the Jazz Age, this was a special project for Gabriela who was always inspired by the Ella Fitzgerald and Marilyn Monroe friendship.

“We chose to work with Bésame on this vintage-inspired collection of beauty products celebrating the First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald, because of their high-quality products and the attention-to-detail of founder, Gabriela Hernandez. We knew her designs would capture the spirit of Ella and the era of Jazz and Swing perfectly. We are delighted that Bésame will donate a portion of proceeds from the sales of these beauty products to The Ella Fitzgerald® Foundation. This partnership honors her legacy and commitment to help people of all races, cultures and beliefs. The Foundation was created to provide assistance to at-risk members of our communities, while fostering a love of reading and a love of music and is still changing lives today.”
